Hero House
Melbourne, Australia
Once a forgotten 1970s brown-brick warehouse tucked away in Prahran, this former linen wholesaler’s site has been reimagined into the striking new headquarters for creative agency Hero. The transformation—led by Jost Architects in partnership with designer Brahman Perera—delivers a versatile, contemporary office tailored to a range of working styles.
Rejecting conventional corporate layouts, the design embraces an open, collaborative atmosphere infused with personality. Inspired by the CEO’s passion for the colour tangerine, the bold hue runs throughout the interior—from statement furniture to custom lighting—balanced by a palette of black, white, grey, and raw industrial finishes like exposed concrete. Hero’s iconic orange branding and display of industry accolades are seamlessly integrated, celebrating both identity and achievement.
Private meeting rooms, acoustic zones, and shared work areas were all strategically planned to support a dynamic team. The sustainable fit out includes a 15kW solar system and repurposed furnishings from Hero’s previous office, with additional custom pieces sourced from local designers to minimise environmental impact.
This bold warehouse-to-workspace conversion showcases how strong branding, purposeful design, and environmental responsibility can come together in a workplace that champions both creativity and function.
